Lent Day 13 – The Key

by gary-foote on March 17, 2014

Let the groaning of the imprisoned come in before you; in accord with the greatness of your arm preserve those doomed to die. – Psalm 79:11

We are all imprisoned, shackled by our sin, and ought to be left to die because of the choices we make. And yet, as we look at the chains that bind us we can easily see that our God holds the key to set us free! His mighty arm stretches towards us to rescue and preserve, to unbind us, and to saves us who are doomed to die. How blessed are we to know that God holds the key to set us all free!

What imprisons you? How can you turn to God during this season of Lent to allow Him to unlock the chains that weigh you down so that on Easter morning you might be able to walk freely as the Risen Christ did from the tomb? Be bold, knowing that God has the key to even the most difficult of locks.
