Lent Day 7 – My Will or Thy Will

by gary-foote on February 24, 2015

thy will be done – Matthew 6:10b

7.2-24

 Our story begins with two gardens:
Eden and Gethsemane

Each garden leads to a tree:
The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and
The Tree of the Cross.

Each tree leads to a choice:
My Will Be Done or
Thy Will Be Done.

One choice promises life and yet leads to death;
one choice promises death and yet leads to eternal life.

One final question remains:
Will you echo Adam and Eve in proclaiming
“my will be done”
or Jesus by declaring
“thy will be done?”
